ISEB 10 Weeks Program
4th Week
Topic 1: A Wise Man
A wise man once faced a group of people who were complaining about the same issues over and over again. One day, instead of listening to the complaints,
he told them a joke and everyone cracked up laughing.
Then, the man repeated the joke A few people smiled.
Finally, the man repeated the joke for the third time, but no one reacted.
The man smiled and said, “You won’t laugh at the same joke more than once. So what are you getting from continuing to complain about the same problem?
You are not going to get anywhere if you keep complaining about the same problem but do nothing to fix it.
Don’t waste your time complaining and expecting other people to continue to react to your complaints.
Instead, take action to make a change.
Thank you and have a nice day
Topic 2: Neighbours
“A man is not a believer if he fills his stomach while his neighbor is hungry”
To understand the duties a person has to their neighbor, it is important to first understand who a neighbor is.
The neighbor includes the people who live nearby or are connected to your home.
It also includes the people who live in near and far houses.
It does not matter if your neighbor is your friend or enemy, poor or rich and belongs to any religion; a foreigner and a migrant, or a nation; you have few duties towards them.
1. Kind treatment.
2. Sharing food.
3. Visiting them during sickness, sad moments, and happy moments.
4. Not causing any harm.
5. Exchanging gifts/greetings.
It is clear that every single deed with good intentions of the believer counts near the Almighty, and will get its reward eventually.
I will conclude this topic by saying to myself and to all brothers and sisters that if our neighbors are happy “Almighty God is happy”.
Thank you and have a nice day
